Asma bint Abi Bakr
Asma (ra), the daughter of Abu Bakr, played a critical role in the Hijrah. Known as "Dhat an-Nitaqayn" (The one with two belts), she was a model of resourcefulness and courage.
The Resourceful Heroine
During the Prophet's (ﷺ) secret departure from Makkah, Asma (ra) carried food and water to them in the Cave of Thawr. She tore her own waist-belt in two to secure the bags, earning her famous title.

She endured questioning and physical assault from Abu Jahl without revealing the Prophet's location. Her life was characterized by deep intelligence, dignity, and a long life of service to the community.
