Aisha al-Ba'uniyyah
Aisha al-Ba'uniyyah was one of the greatest female Sufi masters and poets in history. Her works on the love of the Prophet (ﷺ) remain influential today.
The Master Poet
Aisha was born in Damascus and belonged to a family of scholars. She was a prolific writer, producing more works in Arabic than any other woman before the 20th century, including the famous "The Principles of Sufism."
Divine Connection
Her writings were centered on the concepts of repentance, sincerity, and the deep love of Allah and His Messenger. She was recognized as a "Morshidah" (spiritual guide) by her contemporaries.
