The Islamic week revolves around Friday (Jumu'ah), the "Eid of the week." It is a day of gathering, purification, and increased devotion.

Friday is the holiest day of the week. It requires preparation and extra focus on social and spiritual duties.

"O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah, then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade..." (62:9)
The Sunnah of Jumu'ah
1. Taking a Ghusl (bath).
2. Wearing clean/best clothes.
3. Using perfume (for men).
4. Arriving early at the Masjid.
5. Reading Surah Al-Kahf.
The Hour of Response
There is a special time on Friday (often said to be between Asr and Maghrib) when Duas are never rejected.
"The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday."

Modern Applications
Try to finish work early on Friday to attend the Khutbah with focus.
Use the weekend to plan your spiritual goals for the coming week.
